What
Parents and Players Say About ...
|
|
"My
son, Joshua, age 8, was a first time camper.
We both thought the camp was terrific! Being
coached by professional ball players undoubtedly
has made a lifelong impression on my son. Coach Bud & the Marshalls were excellent
instructors. To us it was "big
time" to rub shoulders with all the coaches.
They were all very encouraging to the kids and very
capable to provide age-appropriate
instruction. Every week was well
organized and quickly paced. Introducing
new skills and regular practice kept the boys
motivated and constantly engaged. Joshua was
always eager to attend. I could tell obvious
improvement in his batting and pitching.
I am confident Joshua will be a better
player because of your baseball academy, and
undoubtedly pursue the sports for years to come. I
can't adequately expressed just how pleased
I am with your organization and the men who
helped our kids. This has been
worth every penny. We're looking forward to
coming back next winter." --- Gordon Shaffer

I feel that you have greatly
improved my son's skills but more importantly you have made
him feel confident in himself.... [Your camp] has carried my
son through some pretty intense times during the baseball
season. It has been a wonderful experience.
Possibly one of the best things I have ever done for
him.--Yvette Gohlke

I was shocked by the fact
that you had current professional baseball players
instructing the kids. That fact alone made them never
doubt what they were being told and made them try that
much harder to get it right. They were all very good with
the kids and made them feel like they knew each one of them
personally. I was very impressed by the facility and all
the equipment that was used.
It was nice to see that even
in a class with a large group of kids the routine was such
that it still felt like they were getting one on one
instruction as though nobody else was there with them. The
video tape of them in week 3 and again in week 9, let them
see and understand what they were doing wrong in week 3
and how much they had improved in week 9. That was a great
teaching tool and will continue to be as they review it
when needed.
The
conditioning drills served a good purpose and took
little time away from what we signed up for.
Ron gave my 13 year old a written baseball
weightlifting program that has helped him in many
ways.
The
10 week winter program ended up being much better
than I had hoped for. Even though I only paid for
2 people to attend camp, your staff gave great
instructions to all 3 of us! I got as much out of
this program as my kids did and I feel as though I
now have a lot more to offer the kids that I will
be coaching. We will definitely be coming back.

I must say this year was one
of the best - Although I knew much of the material, I was
able now to apply it much more. The additional
emphasis on strength and conditioning was very helpful.

The
pitching camp is exactly what our son needed to
improve his throwing mechanics and build his strength.
His hitting is getting quicker and
quicker. I know the situation drills you all
covered will help him
tremendously at the plate...
The strength and
conditioning was FANTASTIC!
It is part of the game that has not been stressed to
these younger players.
We have continued to work in this area. Thanks
for the nudge and the
re-enforcement! We can truly see a difference
since the first night and I
believe our boys realize how it improves their game!
It is truly amazing to
see it come together for these guys and see them use
the fundamentals that
are so important. --The Butlers

I can't think of anything that
would have made our son's experience any better. He
thoroughly enjoyed his 4 days and has already asked to sign
up again next year. The coaches and staff kept things
moving - he came home tired and couldn't wait to come
back. -- Bill Haysley

My son liked your camp very
much. He found the coaches very supportive and says
they helped him learn lots of new things. He showed me
new things every day. He says they were always doing
something; 'no standing around. So it was a very good
experience for him and I feel like we got our money's worth.--

I like that you are using high
school players to work with the kids, it's beneficial for
both the campers and the coaches. I gather from Austin
that the pro's of the camp are: small groups, providing
plenty of attention; diversity in drills and activities;
relatively equal skill levels with campers; and
organization. I think you two have a great thing going
with your program(s)-not just camp-and I, as a parent,
am grateful we found you. --Marnie Harrell

I was so pleased with
everything about the camp. How organized everything
was and especially how well all the coaches were with the
kids, you all made it fun for the boys while you taught
them. The information was great and very helpful.
My son enjoyed the camp so very much. I think the cost of
the camp is well worth it and I have already recommended the
camp to some of my friends. Thanks!! --April Akers

I
would like to tell you how much my 8 year old son enjoyed
your camp. This was his first camp of any kind. He came home
every day showing us things that his coaches had taught him.
I came and watched the end of a few practices and the
coaches do very well interacting with these boys. He had a
great time and learned a lot. I am sure we will be attending
more of your camps in the future. Great Job! --Janet Witt

Just to let you know how much
my son enjoyed the baseball camp. The coaching staff was
excellent and participation from everyone was a plus... I did not see anything that needed to be changed!
Thanks for taking the time with the players. Baseball
is a fun sport and you all helped make this true.--Denise Monette and
Collins

My son had a terrific experience
during the four days of instruction. He went into detail about
each day, and it was obvious that he was receiving excellent
instruction from your staff. Thanks very much...I'm sure we'll
be back next year! --Sean Daly

Experience
and Quality of our Staff |
"Rich and Ron
are very experienced and knowledgeable and have a special way of presenting
this information to the kids in a way that they can relate. The information
provided is very basic, but extremely precise." -- Debbi
Moore
"I have seen
that you guys waste no time and you both seem to have a knack for
'reading' players and getting down to business. Spotting something
that is
wrong and helping to fix it, is a professional quality" -- K. Reed
"Your positive
reinforcement was refreshing, my son thrives on this." -- Alan
Wood
"The staff is exceptional in their handling of the players
and the quality of the material covered was exactly what we
needed" -- Mike Sexton
"The knowledge you
all have of the Game made this a wonderful and very worthwhile
experience. The drills and training exercises taught were quite
adequate without providing information "overload."
Everything covered was explained in a manner that seemed sensible and
easy to understand. Constructive criticism was given while also
complimenting a job well done. Personal attention given to each camper
was excellent with not much "stand around time" at all. They
were always on the move. The program was very organized and utilized
every minute of the hour and a half to it's fullest. It was amazing
how much you guys got done each day." -- Chris & Mitch Mitchell

Information
and Attention Provided to the Camper |
"I
liked the variety of skills
using different equipment (radar gun, tire for balance and hip movement,
etc.) -- Rick Davis
"The
instruction was very comprehensive and the boys improved consistently over
the entire length of the session." -- Allen
Walker
"My
son has attended other camps in the area twice, too, which
was helpful, but there are so many kids that he didn't get personalized
help. The individual attention was key!" -- Grace
Parker
"Excellent
value. I would recommend this to anyone looking to improve their game.
So many coaches both at the Rec. ball level and even high school ball do not
have the expertise your staff has. Well worth the money." --Steve Crane
"The
improvement in my son's baseball skills has been outstanding... I have
gotten a lot out of the program as well. The techniques in the class
have been very helpful." -- Russell
Mait
"I
feel the tools and game skills offered to these boys will put them ahead of
the other players and teams who fail to invest in their future by not
attending advance clinics, whether on or off season. "
-- Jerry Oliver, Mustang Commissioner, Chesterfield Baseball
Clubs, Inc., President, Reams Road Athletic Assoc. needed." -- Debbi Moore
